Newest contest - $ 250,000
No, that's NOT the reward - it's the target.
When will the Site-Wide Total get to or surpass $ 250,000?
Closest guess wins another $ 10 prize.
As usual, Aaron, Tony & Sara will drive how quickly this will happen ...

Ooooo. This is a good one. So many factors to calculate. Add this, multiply that, carry the one. . .I'll have to go with May 18th at 11:27 am, EDT.

Re: Newest contest - $ 250,000
Hey everyone,
Since Tim posted this, we've more than cut the remaining amount in half on the way to $250,000. We're also closing in on the 1st predictions for when we'll crack that magical mark. So during my spare time today (between drying my tears from the Coyotes losing game 7 to the hated Red Wings and entering bills) I compiled a list of how long each of our predictions is good for/expires. Of course, all disputes will be referred to our contest host, Tim, and our TrackDollar leader, Markus. Please, let me know if you see any mistakes on the dates and times. All times listed are EDT.
Matt Apr. 29th. No time given.*
Tim May 4th. 18:00 EST.**
Markus May 12th. 21:00.
Tony & Sara May 18th. 11:27.
Dave Jun. 15th. 15:00.***
* Since this is the earliest guess and no time given, I put in the lastest time possible for the date: 23:59. This maximizes Matt's guess, but cuts into Tim's somewhat. It took us about 3 weeks to get just over halfway, so this probably won't come into play.
** Tim has 18:00 EST as his guess. I assumed EDT as the guess. Only a one hour difference, but thought it was worth noting.
*** Dave has Jun. 15th, noon, as his guess. AZ is on MST year round. That makes AZ 3 hours behind EDT, so a guess time of 15:00.
Ok, that said here are the breakdowns:
If we reach $250,000 by:
May 1st, 08:59:30------Matt wins.
May 1st, 08:59:30 thru May 8th, 19:30------Tim wins.
May 8th, 19:30 thru May 15th, 16:13:30------Markus wins.
May 15th, 16:13:30 thru Jun 2nd, 01:13:30----Tony & Sara win.
Jun 2nd, 01:13:30 and later----Dave wins.

Tony,
I chuckled at your post. After a quick glace, I agree with your synopsis.
I may be crying myself tomorrow if the Caps run into the Buzzsaw of a Goaltender from the Canadians that they saw in games 5 & 6.
At least the Nats are winning.

Re: Newest contest - $ 250,000
It's not too far from the truth either. Sara and I were at the game last night. The Coyotes didn't play all that well. The Red Wings deserved to win the game. However, there was some very questionable officiating in the 2nd period with the score 2-1, and then 3-1 after a Detroit power play goal. I was quite emotional, to say the least. The rest of the game was torture to watch. The remaining crowd did give a nice ovation to the Coyotes at the end of it though. That was really nice to see. All that's left to say now is. . . "Go Sharks!"

With less than $ 400 to go and almost 2 full weeks to go inside Tony & Sara's window - I officially declare them the winner of this contest!
Congrats
Please let me know where I can send the winnings.
