Contest: Win $ 10

It has been awhile since I sponsored a contest, so here goes.

Pick the closest date when I will get a hit in my 75th new Zip Code for 2014. If there is a tie on a particular day, the first person who posts in this thread is the winner.

Currently at 66 Zips (July 14).

Contest remains open until I get Zip # 73.

I will update this thread whenever I get a new Zip from this point forward.

I will take August 12th.

Ya know...not a huge issue...BUT...it seems to me all guesses ought to be submitted by PM ONLY...so that later entrants in the game can't "bastard bid" you by going one day under your guess or one day over your guess.

The official guesses should then be posted publicly ONLY AFTER all future entries are closed.

That way, nobody gets an advantage seeing what others are guessing first.

But, seriously, we should consider...for future contests...keeping bids secret until bids are closed.

BTW, I do NOT think Dave "bastard bid" me on this one...but it occurred to me that someone COULD.

Meh. It was for fun in any case. Plus, there is still time for someone else to enter and beat both of you. I'll consider PM bids should I do something similar in the future.

Looks like your mental average might be closer.

It just occurred to me that such could happen, so bids like this ought to be secret bids, just so there's no hard feelings later.

Perhaps because it is summer, my hit rate has crept up a bit lately. Most of 2014 has been a disappointment for me hit wise.
