This has been going on for a few minutes. Sometimes the bill entry page has loaded but I get Internal Error when actually trying to enter anything.
I submitted a 2 bill batch just before this started happening and the 1st one was entered, something similar happened last downtime.

Yeah first noticed it timing out around 5:30 and it's still happening at 9.
That batch of bills wwas bieng WG marked anyway, but sometimes the outages mean WG marking or stealthing bills that would have otherwise been TD marked.

Markus asked me to pass along an update.

Last night, he had to call his provider since the server was not coming back.

This morning, it turns out they killed his server and lost the backup.

They have given him a new, blank machine and he will have to install the whole thing from scratch and restore from a home backup.

He does not expect to be able to complete this until late tonight at the earliest.

well, for now I was able to bring a database object back from march 30 2016. You may start using the website and let me know of any problems. I will insert missing data as I get access to it. It looks very much as if a ransomware attacked the whole node that my VPN is running on (normally they have 8 VPNs per hardware node). And even the backup files got destroyed. I am trying all I can to get somehow the missing bills back. Also adding some kind of daily external backup to my home router USB stick running midnight, looks like I cannot trust the promised backup of the VPN provider. I am very annoyed right now since they gladly take the monthly fee but don't want to be responsible for data loss. The famous fine print.

Thank you for your efforts to get us back up. Best of luck to you in getting us caught up with data over the past three months. Please let us know once you get to the point where there is nothing else that can be updated. It sounds like some of us will have a lot of dollars to re-enter. Some aren't spent, yet, but many are. I know I'd like to get those updated as soon as I can so as not to irritate people trying to hit bills that aren't in the database. Luckily, I have a spreadsheet of (almost) everything I spend, so I would be able to go through and identify any spent dollars that aren't in the database and could re-create those initial entries.

If I were proactive and started putting in replacement entries for bills, would anything you were able to recover simply overwrite my new entry (which would be preferred), or would it cause you problems?

you can enter your missing bills right now if you want to invest the time, it would be simply ignored when I insert the missing data from backup, we won't have double entries, so its no problem.
Also, right now the background process is running that creates the profiles and maps. Since it was a blank machine it might take about 8 hours until all users have their maps back.
Sorry for the missing 3 month so far, well at least I got the machine up and running for now.

I first noticed the missing data when a hit email this afternoon had much lower stats than usual. Otherwise the site is working fine.

I spent all the bills I entered before the downtime, but there are some I gave to relatives and I can reenter those.

Do you have a newer backup somewhere else? Would a restore affect any bills since the site came back up?

Would posts about specific hits since March 30th help?

Got some of that tonight, and "Internal Error, please email to support team" when trying to submit entries. At times the last five bills entered today weren't being displayed.

I was able to reenter all my bills from July 2nd onwards and some from soon before that. Obviously better than nothing, and I figure the recent data is less likely to be backed up.
