nice one, cylon. Still not using the Link button I told you about?
Oh, well, guess ya don't have to, but it does make things look nicer.

I tried the link button. I still need to practice a little more with posting links. I did not work for me. Will be talking to friends to help in the future.

If you use the link button, you have two spaces to enter information into. The top one is for the link, the bottom is for the title. Copy the bill link and paste it into the first box. Then, you can enter the county title in the second. Now, if you want to color the text, you have to do that seperately by highligting the text you want to color and choose your color from the list after clicking the color palette link.

Jasper County, MOMatt_How wrote:<a href="http://www.trackdollar.com/report.htm?url=BH66F25426C6DEA0380B79EC0857475E1131EBF60D"> Jasper county MO</a>
Try it this way....the link you posted above cannot be clicked on.
Use the Link Icon...it looks like a sideways 8.
paste the URL link you cut from the bill report in the top box.
type the name of the County and state in the bottom box.
Then, when you submit, you'll get a clickable link like the one I posted for yours.
Re: Yearlong Cooperative County Challenge
Jasper County MO The link had worked for me as I had originally posted it why didn't it work for you? Is this better? How do you get it to be red? I have forgoten everything I learned about HTML

Oh, the link itself worked. but try actually clicking on what you posted. You can't. You have to again cut and paste what you posted. versus what I posted, you can just click on what I posted and get the bill report. Like I said, you use the "Link" button on the Reply Screen. It looks kinda like a gray sideways 8.
You put your URL (what you cut from the bill report) into the top box, when the box pops up. You type the name of the county and state into the bottom box. that produces what I posted for you. to color it, highlight just the name of the county and state in the main reply screen (you have to do it after you submit the popup box for the link. Then go to the pix up above the reply screen to the palette button, it's got lots of colors on it, next to the "AA" button up top. Select your color.

But you don't understand what you quoted me was not what I posted. Strange the link worked perfectly on my side. The link itself worked. BUT...try clicking on just what you posted. You can't.
You have to cut and paste your URL the way you did it. The way I did it...you can just click on what I posted.
If you CAN...that is what I am looking for. something I can just plain click...and not have to copy and paste the URL. Like I said...try clicking directly on what you posted. You can't do it. then click on what I posted. See the difference?
If you still want to do it longhand instead of using the easy links, it should look like this below, but change the { for [
{url=http://www.trackdollar.com/report.htm?url=BH49D87D00ECF28F17245ED127786871311EC4D922}New York County, New York{/url}
to color it, you can do this....
{url=http://www.trackdollar.com/report.htm?url=BH49D87D00ECF28F17245ED127786871311EC4D922}{color=green}New York County, New York{/color}{/url}
Just change the ellipses for brackets.

Since I can't LOCK threads...I fear what will happen is some folks will post in the old thread, and then they will get missed.
Unless you can lock threads for me, I think we need to stay with one thread.
Re: Yearlong Cooperative County Challenge
Start a new thread for February, I will have locked this one by the time you read this. If anyone objects, let me know.
