I just thought of something. A suggestion for the map. It looks great but the map might look even better if the background of the legend were grey the same and the map and March may have a better contrast with white than Yellow. Try it see what you think. If you don't like it better it can be switched back.

No good. not as easily done as you might think...I'd have to fill in all the letters with gray too. the fill function only works with adjacent pixels of the same color. So I'd have to also fill in every A O P B e...you get the idea.

Well, we can follow those links, so that's good, cylon...but if you want to post them the way the others here are doing you need to use that linky thing I told you about. It's one of the little pictures up above the reply box - it's the 17th from the left...if you hover over it it says "Link" You click that...put your URL that you copied...paste it into the top box...and write the county and state in the bottom box.

K -- have you thought about a fresh thread for each month? We will probably get to 7 or 8 pages just for January (perhaps more since comments are intermingled). I would welcome a new thread for February hits.

Can do that...I'll just have to start the threads so that I can reserve the first couple posts for the map and spreadsheet links.

Re: Yearlong Cooperative County Challenge
I am confused about something here, and I ask this in a genuine sense. Why are Palau, Marshall Islands, and Federated states of Micronesia included on this map? They are independent nations. Do they use our currency perhaps? If so then some other countries should make the list as well. I am just curious why you included them. The 5 other non-states mentioned are US territory

They use U.S. Zip Codes. Look at your "Hits By State" page, and you will see, at the bottom, these are all listed on that page as well.
Below is a cut-and-paste of my page...bolding my addition.

I see, you are basing it on zip codes rather that actual national jurisdiction. Those areas I mentioned are independent nations and not a territory of the United States.

Actually, I am basing it on what this site considers States and Territories...according to the Hits By state Page...and, incidentally, WG also considers these to be GREEN hits.
I just pointed out that they also have U.S. zip codes...and that may be why they are considered such here at TD and at WG.
Fact is, I'm counting them because they show up on the Hits By state page. Take it up with Markus if you don't think those places belong.
