I guess on Wednesday I will add the MARKING METHOD FEATURE to the web site.

Also I am going to add a function to add the marking method to already entered bills. It will be like:

Apply marking method to bills entered from: [date] thru: [date]

You can setup your marking style in "Edit Profile", also there is a link to change the marking style of already entered bill. So if you remember the date you started to use a stamp instead of hand written you can define it there by defining FROM DATE and THRU DATE for each different marking method.

In the personal Bill Summary and the Site Wide Bill Summary will be a report for the hit rate by Marking Style, Color and Place.

If you would like to add colors or stamps etc, let me know.

How about a link to search for hits in a particular ZIP code? I like to look at my ZIP code for hits that I would not see if unless they hit my bill.

Nice idea.
The report then will look like the ZIP code report in the STATE List.

Not so much a group that "I" entered them in, but a list of all the hits, whether they are mine or not, in a particular ZIP code. Say I wanted to look in my ZIP code for bills that have been hit, but not always will they be mine. One of your bills could get hit in my ZIP code by a guest. Since hits are not really seen in sombody's profile, I would not be able to see that this ZIP code is generating hits. If a report could be generated to group all the hits in a particular ZIP code, then I could see everyone's hit in this ZIP code or from this ZIP code.

So, any bills in ZIP code 85242 that have been hit whether they were started here or from somewhere else, by me or by someone else, the report would show them all.

Kind of there would be then a site wide State bingo.

What do you think? Would this give you the report you want. I have no problem with everybody seeing my Hit Travel Reports from there. Do you think somebody might?

I don't think anyone would have a problem with anyone seeing the hits they have through site wide reports. I am interested in my ZIP code or some of the ZIP codes I know are hard to get. I do not think a site wide "state bingo" would be necessary, unless you would like to make it an option to see what states have hits so far, however, you could make it mapable to show the amount of hits in each state. Make links on the map so someone could click the state they want to look at and when it is pulled up, maybe break it down by city and ZIP code from there with links?

But still, do a searchable link on its own for ZIP code reports so those who just want to search by ZIP code only can do it without all the map clicking.

Basically, on the ZIP code search, have a link labeled "ZIP code report" and when it is clicked, have a request screen come up for which ZIP code to search for. The database can do a search for all the bills with the particular ZIP code entered (hit or original) and will list them all.

Wow...that is awesome. The site wide hits by state/country will do what I was looking for. If I want to see all the hits in 85242, then I click a few links and find them, whether they were on my bills or someone elses.

The site wide all bills report might not be necessary as it may be too much for your site as the data base grows since it will list every bill with or without hits. It may give opporunity for false hits as well.

Since I seem to have such a difficulty wrapping my brain around how you calculate Track Points, how difficult would it be for you to generate a new chart for our Profile?

Something like this:

Hit # - Date - Bills Entered (prior to hit) - % Hit Rate (as of current hit) - Track Points

It could be a "simple" spreadsheet format, if that makes any difference.

i will try to add this spread sheet function. well it will look more like a bank statement I guess. right now TrackDollar.com is not saving history of the points. it is just saving the actual balance.

So if you enter a bill it adds one point.

If you receive a hit it adds one point PLUS your hit rate div 5.

You have a 5% hit rate at the time you receive the hit you will receive 2 points (1 for the hit and 1 for the hit rate)
You ahve a 10% hit rate you receive 3 points (1 for the hit and 2 for the hit rate).

I have to start saving the hit rate then, or figure out a way how to calculate the past hit rate for history information.
hmm not so easy.

About the list (last 10 most recent hits). Well this list we kind of have already.
Klick on All Bills (site wide or personal), and then change the drop down box for HITS>= to 1 and you will see the most recent hits.

I was looking at my Hits within the previous 45 days chart and was wondering if you could change the color of the bars for those days that have more than 1 hit.

There is no rush on this improvement - I'd rather see a lot more active users!

I noticed that Jan 2010 is sorting before Sept 08 in the Bill Report - monthly. This happens in the Site Wide and in the "My Bill Summary"

I would also like to see the Bill Zip Report sorted from greatest to least in # of Bills Entered. I would say that it would be okay to limit the Bill Zip Report to 10 or more bills entered ... OR ... limit it to the top 50 Zips.
