Just for that, I WILL go ahead, and take on South Carolina, and the New England States.

And if I can handle it, and folks are real nice, I may also take KY and TN.

Now Dave seems to have also taken on FL, GA, HI, ID, IL and IN!!

He's a monster!!  Up to eleven states taken!!

Me, I have the six in New England, NY, NJ, PA, DE, NC, SC - for twelve.
I WILL go ahead and grab KY and TN - also OH.  That will get me up to fifteen.

We need to get another person or two involved, so as to get all 50 states coverage, and PR/VI

Here is a suggestion both for the State Volunteers and those who participate.

Participants: Once you have responded to a State thread and then get a new county in the future - Edit your entry, add your county and put a date next to it. If you are so inclined, send a Private Message to the Volunteer letting them know you have issed an Edit on a particular state.

For the volunteers: Check your threads every so often for edits by the participants. The topic does not get "bumped" to be the most recent when there is only an Edit (as opposed to a new post which "bumps" the topic to be the most recent.

I'm not sure what is required, but I feel confident that I can manage the Utah and Nevada county threads.

Personally, I would rather have the bump, that way I get a message telling me someone has entered another response in my e-mail.

Based on the feedback. all participants are asked to both edit their original post and aldo "bump" the State thread when they get a new county.

OK, I just grabbed Mississippi, as it was a needed state, and pretty much links to the area I am already covering.

I looked over the list of states we have, and have determined we sill need the following, if anyone wants to speak for them:


ND
SD
WY
WA

also

PR - which I will take if no one else speaks for it
VI - which I will also take if no one else speaks for it
AS = American Samoa - there are apparently 5 divisions in AS - I believe they are called "Districts"
FM = Federated states of Micronesia - our list shows only one, but there are four, I believe, really, and we should have our site updated to reflect this (the four areas are Yap, Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk)
MP = Northern Mariana Islands (our site currently shows two areas, there should be three - Saipan, Tinian, and Rota)

You might want to double check your first post under Mississippi - it says "Pennsylvania"  

Give me the territories, since I've already got DC.

I'm concerned that we may have lost Furbjr as I don't see him on the Top Users list, so his states may be available.

OOPS.
I'll fix Mississippi.

As to FURB...well, we will see if anyone updates in his states...and then if he updates.  If he does not, the states should be considered open for someone to take over.

In which case, perhaps there is some Mod Magic you can do, tim, to assign them to the new volunteer...or perhaps a new thread would then have to be started...using the old info before deleting the old thread.

So now we just need ND, SD, WY, and WA...and possibly someone for the FURB states, unless it proves he is still among us and actively updating as needed.

I had another thought about a thread for Countries hit...if anyone know how many Countries are possible on TD...and then folks could post up their countries!

Maybe this should be in threads by Continent.

Also, a Canadian Province thread might be a good idea.

There are currently 60 Countries claimed site-wide. Threads by Continent is a good idea, when we get around to it. North America should include all of Central and everything in the Caribbean.

I could take on Continents, if you like, but can you get me a list, or at least the number of countries in each Continent?
