Re: Yearlong County Contest
I claim Snohomish County, WA
I'm getting a few of these...I sent a bunch of bills out that way with a Johnny Appleseed...my former, now-retired church minister.
I got a bunch of hits there on the other site tonight, too.
UPDATE: the hit map on the first page is now updated to this point.

Re: Yearlong County Contest
Good one, Tim.
Monroe County, PA belongs to me...as it should.
I hope I beat you to Cook County, Illinois, though, since that is the county of my birth.
Seeing as you have DuPage already....
Also hope I beat everyone to Travis County, TX as that is where I consider my home to be...Austin, Texas...even though I live up here in Monroe County, PA.
Also would be cool if I could manage Jefferson KY and Orange FL for myself, seeing as I lived in those places, also, in my lifetime.

Re: Yearlong County Contest
Here is an interesting conundrum ...
Diamondback Dave traded this bill to me, I traded it to my local TrackDollar daughter and it just got its third hit:
Anderson, TN
I don't mind if Dave gets credit, since he is the original enterer, but its your call, Kalisiin.

Yes, this poses a twist in the contest.... Do you give 1/3 credit to each active user?

Well it was in your possession, and you got a hit on it...and you posted it here first. I say this is your credit dctim. Had Dave posted it first, it would have been his. But if you snooze, you lose.
And, as far as I know, your daughter is not in this contest at all.

Interesting, considering the time difference and it was 5:00 in the morning my time when Tim posted it, I was snoozing...

Kalisiin wrote: Well, he still posted it first, and by the rules originally set on this contest, it means he gets it.
I get the idea that the rules are pretty clear, but I think that in this case, you might slide the rules a bit to give us each half a hit.
Since my TrackDollar Daughter isn't playing the contest, I would agree she does not get any credit.

I'm not getting into giving half-points. Weighting is already enough.
The fact is...EITHER you or Dave may have claimed the hit. NOT BOTH...not half each.
You posted first, I gave you credit.
Now, if you want to give Dave full credit for this one, and relinquish your claim, on this one-time basis, I will do that.
BUT...the rules are that he who posts first gets credit.
What if, just as an example, dctim...you posted a kit in Cook County Illinois...and then, five minutes later, I got a hit there. Well, you posted first and so I am out of luck. Those are the rules.
Even if it had been a situation like the one with you and Dave...where you hit a bill of mine...then it got hit in Illinois, and you posted it before I did.
Yours would be the credit, not mine.
That's just the rules as they are posted. I have to follow them.
Like I said, on this one time occasion, if you choose to relinquish your claim, and give it to Dave, I will do that. But, in the future, know that it is he who posts first who gets full credit.

That is weird. In my reply I changed the name again so it shows as you.
Check to make sure you can post as you, and not as me.
