Re: Cooperative County Challenge - March/April 2013 Hits
Now you know why Austin is my adopted hometown. I love that town!Tony wrote:I just went to Austin on Saturday for SXSW. Had a great time and spread a few ones around at the bars. What a great city.
I graduated high school there. Crockett High School Class of 1989.
I will be going back to Austin next year for my 25th year reunion.
I so freaking LOVE Austin, wild weird and fun.
If you want an awesome view, while in Austin, I recommend driving Loop 360, the Capital of Texas Highway.
SXSW (South By Southwest for those who don't know...it is an annual music and film festival held in Austin)
SXSW is what replaced the old Austin Aqua Festival.
Zip 78702 would have probably been somewhere on or near South Lamar Boulevard.
I lived in 78704, just off South Oltorf.
Back then, I had three bumper stickers on my car:
78704 - Not A Zip Code, A Way Of Life!
Austin - If We Weren't Weird, We'd Be Waco!
South Austin - We're All Here, Because We Aren't All There!
Oh, man, it just can't be explained to an outsider, ya know. If you lived there, then you get it.

I'm surprised we didn't get this in 2012: Henrico, VA
Nice hit in Appomattox, there, Kalisiin. There isn't really a major highway going through that part of VA.

Thanks.
That was what I thought when I saw that hit.
How about....
Nottoway County, Virginia
Re: Cooperative County Challenge - March/April 2013 Hits
Nottoway is nice, I've got a pair of hits there myself. I think Appomattox might be a bit tougher.
Here's an "easy" one. Albemarle, VA

Manassas City, VA
I had an idea for the online spreadsheet -- put a "percentage of counties hit" at the bottom of the 2012 and 2013 columns for each state.
=counta(rows)/count(rows) should work.

OK, I'm not good at formulas.
If you can tell me how to do it I'll add it.
And sorry, but that equation up there was gibberish to me.

You should be able to handle it ...
"counta" is a function that counts the non-blank items, "count" is a function that counts all items, blank or not.
In the case of Alaska, in cell "C 32", you would type "=counta(C2:C30)/count(C2:C30)" (no quotes)
You could then format cell "C 32" as a percentage (10.52 %, or whatever the correct percentage turns out to be).
Do the same thing in column D (replacing the C with a D). Excel-like programs make this change automatically when you copy and paste.
Texas would be Column C, Row 2 through (colon) Column C, Row 255 - the formula could go into cell "C 257".
Get it?

I can try that. I do not know if it will work in EditGrid.
I never knew that "counta" function. and that was my basic problem...how do I count the non-blank lines against the total!

I'll take care of our need for a hit in New Hamphire with this one:
