Site Problems Lately.... Empty Site Problems Lately....

Post  Kalisiin Tue Nov 23, 2010 6:02 am

I have two problems I have noticed lately with the site which make NO SENSE to me...

First, often, when you are bringing up a hit report...the thing comes up blank several times...before FINALLY coming up with the info.

For example, I had a hit recently in Arkansas....and when I clicked on the hit report in the email...what I got back was total blank! I got two entries of a bill, both my initial entry and the hit entry were blank, and it acted as if the bill had traveled 0 miles....very freaking weird.

After closing the pop-up and re-clicking several times in the link, it finally brought up the right info.

It did this with several other hits as well.

The second problem I am having is with my profile. I am TRYING to put a sized version, in a table, of the County map we have here (I REALLY hate side-to-side scrolling!!) and every time I try to insert the table somewhere in my code...it throws everything else off...and sometimes even puts my Demographic information into a place in the table where I already had...and called for...other information to be there.

I don't understand it. the coding I am using is correct.

Here is the exact code I am TRYING to insert into my profile...

<table bordercolor="FFCC00" border="15" cellpadding=2 cellspacing=3 width="768">
<tr>
<td align=left><img src="http://www.trackdollar.com/Profile/CC004E1.jpg" width="768" height="500"></td>
</tr>
</table>

So what gives? This is correct coding, it should not cause the sort of problems that it is.

PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks.

Does it look like this?

I've been getting it for the past few days too, but like you've said already the display fixes itself after several refreshes

Yes, Aaron, that is exactly what it looks like.

As I mentioned, and you confirmed...it DOES fix itself after several refreshes.

Still, it should not do that at all, there is SOME sort of problem. Not a dire emergency, because it DOES eventually fix itself, but something that ought to be looked into and brought to Admin attention.

Personally, I am suspecting a database connection problem on the server side.

Hi,

the bill report error is fixed.

As for your profile programming:
Please insert the map one more time into your profile so that I can see the complete HTML code.

OK, Markus...will do it right now.

and thanks for fixing the one problem.

Also noticed you now have values in the pie charts, awesome work!!

OK, done!
NOW, my profile does not show the pie charts at all, and put my demographic info into the table where they are supposed to be...right below my miniature NY NJ maps.

But if I take the coding for the county map out...everything goes back the way it should.

P.S. another way to solve my problem, to make it look as I would like...would be to re-size the county, US and special state maps, etc...so that they do not force a side-to-side scrolling. Like I said, I do not mind scrolling up and down on web pages, but I HATE scrolling side-to-side.
