Handwritten Bill Marks, how do they compare?
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with both handwritten and stamped bills, and compared the hit rates between them. All my bills are handwritten since I don't own a stamp, and I was wondering if there was any great benefit to stamps over writing your message.

I hand-wrote early in my Trackdollar days. I don't have any solid stats to prove one method is better than the other.
Many of us use https://www.stamp-connection.com/ for our stamps.
I use this one and substitute "TrackDollar" in substitute that other place. https://www.stamp-connection.com/products/Acrylic-1-Line-Wheres-George-Stamp

Thanks for the info. I'm just getting started here, so I like that there are some helpful people.

I'll second dctim's response.
I use a mixture of stamps, hand-writing, and printer printing and I have a pretty darn good hits/entries rate on my bills. Right now I have a 32.3% rate on my singles, and it would be a whole lot higher if I'd already spent all of what I've entered.
Personally, I generally think a mixture of both stamps and hand-writing works for me, but then again all stamps also works very well. I wouldn't be brave enough to do just hand-writing.
Scroll down a few lines in this Forum and you'll see some examples of how my bills look. My personal view - born out by my success rate (in my opinion) - is that bolder is better for marking your bills to get their attention, just don't go overboard. They may get pulled from circulation quicker if you do that, but they seem to get more hits on average before that happens. As always, everyone's results are going to vary and some of the factors don't involve how the bills are marked.
And another thought to improve your odds of getting hits - avoid nasty bills that look to have an Express Pass to the shredder. Trade those in for better looking bills if you think that maximizing your hits/entries rate will ever matter to you. I used to mark everything but now I don't.

Re: Handwritten Bill Marks, how do they compare?
I experimented with handwriting many years ago. I didn't get many hits with it.
I mark mine with a stamp from stamp connection
I hold about 6 or 7 bills in one hand splayed out so the left edges all show and stamp them all without moving my right hand, flip my hand over and hit all the edges there on back with a message "bill tracking study".
I can do 100 bills in just a few minutes.
