The avatar pic of the moon you see for me, that is my pic I took.

Speaking sort of on the topic, we went to the International Dark Sky Park in Mackinaw City (MI) in August for the Perseid Meteor Shower. Unfortunately, that dang moon came up during the show and really put the damper on the evening's viewings. Well that and the clouds that rolled in. Neutral

We might try again next year when it's much closer to the New Moon and the viewing would be better.
