2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
Still haven't decided whether I feel like doing this next near, leaning towards not. I'll definitely finish this year, and hopefully I'll have that update done before February.
The County Challenge as of a few days into December.
Post links to 2015 hits in counties that aren't already marked off on the spreadsheet for 2015 -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AuLKvJumw_R5dDdhdDl3RXVyNXc1dmZfQWpZUDdETWc&usp=sharing
I'd appreciate it if you included the date of hit, county and state in the post along with the link.
Large map:

Past year stats:
2014 - 903 counties (27.91%) - 409 which were unhit in 2013.
2013 - 853 counties - 315 which were unhit in 2012.
2012 - 948 counties
Final 2014 Stats:
States Under 10% Hit = 3 (NE, PR, SD)
States 10% - 25% Hit = 19
States 25.01% - 50% Hit = 17
States 50.01% - 75% Hit = 8
States 75.01 - 99.99% Hit = 2 (Arizona, Maryland)
Bingo States = 2 (Delaware, New Jersey)
NOTE: Above all add up to 51 States, because Puerto Rico is counted.

Re: 2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
Am hoping you will do this next year, Alan...the project is a lot of fun. If not, hoping someone else will step up.
I am just not in a position to do it much anymore...you may have noticed I have not been too active here lately. With a new client for my business taking up a lot of time...and my relatively-recent diabetes diagnosis, I just haven't had a lot of time to devote here.
The diabetes thing is why I gave up doing the project in the first place, as I wished to dedicate myself to researching and learning about how to deal with my condition. I have in the eight months since starting my treatment regimen, lost over 110 pounds, and gotten my blood sugar back under control. But I just landed a new client for my business, and so things are once again hectic.
I AM willing to be of some small help, if it will help keep the project going, but I cannot be the main person doing it, I just do not have the time to devote to it.
Is there a way to make it a sort of tag-team effort?
Possible to have one person updating spreadsheet and the other coloring the map, or something along those lines.

Schoolcraft, MI 12/28 …what a surprise to see this one this afternoon. Only two left for Michigan this year (Keweenaw and Ontonagon, which happen to be the last two for which I'm waiting to be hit in Michigan, too). Not a chance in the world they'll show up.

Re: 2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
I don't think I want to do this again this year. I will process the December entries sometime soon.
Re: 2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
Is there any volunteers to host 2016? I can host the tread but as far as maps and spreadsheets someone else would have to do that. Perhaps I would do it but changed a bit. I would only take new unhit counties for the year meaning counties that were not hit in any other year and are new to 2016 for the challenge. Then I think I could fill in a map since it would just be once and a while. I would be willing to host and fill in the map if done that way. Someone else would have to do the spreadsheet. I don't have the patients to learn that and don't have the program on my computer.

Re: 2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
You could generate that from the site's Achievements page. You would not need any participation from the site's users. There were only 104 new counties added to TrackDollar in 2015. It would be almost certain to be under 100 in 2016.

Re: 2015 Cooperative County Challenge - December Hits
I am willing to be part of a team that does this...but my time is still very limited.
The Spreadsheet actually takes less time, in my opinion. I'd be willing to handle the Spreadsheet if someone else will color the map...and maintain the actual thread. I will give that person a link to the Spreadsheet that they can use in the thread.
I, too, would like to see this continue for next year...I think it is a fun thing, even though I am not near as active here as I once was...due to the time thing.
But I'll step up if no one else will...for the Spreadsheet only...someone else has to do the map and maintain the thread.
We'd need to work out a collaborative spreadsheet...so that I could, for example, enter the entries...and then the map-maker needs access to alter the Spreadsheet, too...so that they could, like, highlight entries to indicate that have been mapped, too
It would have to be that way so that one could be sure the map and spreadsheet were both done.
