series changes when change denomination

I messed up an entry today because I changed the series then the denomination. It defaults to 2009 series. I know on another site it has always been this way and I found it annoying but here I could have sworn it didn't do that. Has it changed or did I imagine that?

It's not just you, Matt. I mostly use the multi-bill entry page and find the behavior to be inconsistant. I have had to email Markus a few times to correct the series for me if it has been a few days since I entered.

problem is here the changing "series drop down list" whenever a denomination is changed.

If the serial is 11 digit, the series will be right automatically.
A 10 digit serial has no connection to the series (old bills, $1 and $2).
I even realized that browsers act different, OPERA then change to 2009 (1st of the list).
IExplorer will empty the series.

Trouble is: what if the old series is not member of the new series list anymore when changing the denomination.
e.g. series is 2004A denomination is $10 and you change to $1 !

So not easy, but I will invest some time tonight into this.

Hi,

I updated this morning the Multi Bill Entry Page and the normal bill entry to save the series value when changing the denomination as long as the old series is still member of the new denomination series list.

Please test.
