I'm pretty excited to learn I received my 10,000th hit of the year yesterday afternoon! The trend looked good for that earlier in the year, but 4+ days was cutting it a little close.

Sweet! Very Happy

'cept for 2016 when I missed by 29 hits, I've been fortunate to receive more hits every year.

2012 .....48
2013 4,014
2014 6.987
2015 7,463
2016 7,435
2017 8,427

As I sit here sorting, entering, marking, updating, and remembering all the trips to the banks/credit unions, something like this comes along and sort of makes it feel somewhat worthwhile.

As always, thank you Markus!

Many Congratulations!! cheers

I also hit a personal milestone of 23,500 Trackscore, which I set for myself in September. Like you, I was not certain I would reach it, but thanks to hits on the 28th & 29th, along with the bills I was going to enter anyway, I've gotten there.

My 2019 goal is 25,300, with a stretch goal of 25,500.

Congrats, that's so great.

I was looking over my 2018 stats, not near as impressive.
749 bills entered
81 hits
I get about 1 or 2 hits a week

How do you get out that many bills? I'm thinking of entering 100 and going to the gas station and see if they'll buy them from me. If I do that like a couple times a month I can really kick my bills entered up a lot.

Happy new year!

Thank you both!

Total and complete dedication to doing it. While I typically limit the number of singles in a transaction to 13-16, I try my hardest to maximize the number of those transactions I do. I acknowledge that it's highly inefficient, but it's how I get those singles out there. I averaged going to ~110 different spending locations each of the last six months.

Examples:
• I buy gas $13 at a time. Since I put 100 miles on my car every day, that can be a lot of purchases. I'm a little conflicted when gas gets really cheap. lol!
• My family gives me their shopping lists, so I make multiple stops to pick up their requests…using only singles. I'm the shopper in the family (because of this hobby). I pass by a whole lot of stores on my daily work commute.
• In places with self-checkouts, I sometimes make two purchases, one at the self-checkout and another at a cashier. Hopefully one set goes out that day and the other gets reloaded into the self-checkout for the next day's change.
• Gift cards. My family has moved to nearly 100% of purchases online. I can buy (a lot of) Amazon gift cards from Kroger and that gives me points to lower my gas purchases even further (for example, I'm filling up the SUV today for $.76/gal), and that's the only way to use cash on Amazon. It's also helpful for the fast food places my child likes to hit.
• I do have one outlet for singles - a local wine shop. They love my singles since it keeps them from making additional runs to the bank. It's not a daily thing, but I get there every few weeks. They're always happy to get at least 100 singles, and once during the recent holidays they asked for 400 from me (I was happy I anticipated they might need more and had them with me). Any opportunity I have to get bills in circulation as an exchange rather than a purchase, I'm going to take it.

Efficient? Oh, heck no! I never try to convince myself any of this makes sense, and I sure as heck wouldn't do things this way if I weren't trying to get those dollars into circulation. It's the effort that makes it worthwhile, but I don't expect that many people would follow my example unless they're really, really into this hobby.

I hope that helps.
