"Scrubbing" data

I was happliy entering bills on the Bill Entry Page (20 bills at a time page). I will often pre-fill denomination with $ 1 and series with 2006.

I put in an FE-B $ 5 and that page noted it as a 2006, when it is actually a 2003A. Fortunately, I saw my mistake, deleted the bill and re-entered it as an 03A.

Which leads me to a question - is TrackDollar able to track down garbage data like wrong series and correct it?

That should have corrected itself to a 2003A automatically. There is need to delete and re-enter.

Unfortunately it didn't. I keep a spreadsheet of the bills I enter (by denom, series, FRB and block). That Five was showing as a 2006, not an 03A in "My Bill Summary". When I deleted it and re-entered it, it catergorized correctly.

How very strange. I have entered bills similarly and it did change to the correct series.

Hi,

it depends at what time you use the COPY denomination+series function in the Multi Bill Entry Page.

If you enter serials first and then hit the copy function it will copy the series without check.
The auto fill for series only works right after entering the serial and leaving the entry field with e.g. the TAB key.

Alright that makes sense. I did the auto fill then entered the serial numbers and changed the denomination on the bills that were not the same. Tim must have did it differently. The multi entry is still fairly new with only 10 people that can use it so no doubt we will find a few clitches before it is perfect.
