Va Beach is also an Independent City, FWIW.

VA gets confusing because there are jurisdictions like:

• James City County - is NOT a city, but it IS a county
  
• Bedford City (within Bedford County) and Fairfax City (within Fairfax County)
  
• Richmond City is NOT within Richmond County. Richmond County is some 50 miles NE of the city.
  

I live in the Commonwealth and I find myself checking Zip Codes so that I know which is which.

Been that long since I have looked at this thread. I am going off of the information from how the hit looks. I am going to assume county unless otherwise noted. I can post the hits if you like for clarification.

When I look at D. Dave's Achievements, here is what I see:

245th County Nottoway in VA
92th County Richmond in VA -- this is the CITY (and State Capital) of Richmond
43th County James City in VA
38th County Hampton in VA -- Hampton is an Independent City
35th County Arlington in VA
19th State Virginia,33th County Fairfax in VA (since it was hit by me, it is the County)

Jack hits the City of Alexandria for his first VA Hit.

Added Augusta County and Hopewell City, #'s 29 and 30 - was not keeping up due to my move.

Now at 30/133, technically, since Bedford is no longer an Independent City.

But if an Independent City was going to go away...WHY couldn't it have been Manassas Park City?
That bastard is impossible to hit.
