How do you explain this?
If the user notes were different I would think nothing of it but how do you explain two hits in a row a few months apart with the same user note.

I explain it as a glitch in the software, database or on the server. Even though the dates are different, it's the EXACT same time stamp. There is a 1/86400 chance of that happening.

My theory is that Markus has set something up to handle duplicate hits. Entries from the same "source" - possibly the IP address of the entry - will count as a hit but reflects the same user note and, as dctim says, the hours/minutes/seconds always appear as zeroes. I see this almost daily. I've seen more than five hits on a single bill exhibit this pattern. I will admit, though, that's longer than any gap I've seen on one of mine.
For whatever reason, that's just one of the quirks of this site.
