Started marking with TD

For my first several days on the site, I hit some TD wilds and stealthed a bunch of bills.
However, I recently started adding my own TD markings, if I have a WG hit on that category of bill.
I don't have a TD stamp (yet?) so I handwrite. "Follow this bill's travels - www.trackdollar.com", sometimes just the URL depending on space, similar to how I do handwritten WG markings. I still find myself tempted to write the WG URL, and already one bill I intended to mark with TD ended up getting marked with WG.
If I might take the bill to a bank, I mark only on the back. If I intend to circulate it at retail, both sides.

I also started with hand-writing when I began at TrackDollar. Needless to say, those where never seen from again. I have Stealthed a bunch of bills here with no success, either.

Current job has me stealthing all the bills I come across. I have had a couple hit. I stealth them on both sites as well. The hand written ones I started with have been hit here and there. Most of them were spent in Washington the last time I was truck driving. My first hit was entered in Tacoma and went straight down to Houston. It was a quick hit, but I have still to this day some of those pen bills pop up.

Stealthing works fairly well on $1s and $2s, not on higher denominations. (at least on WG).
I recently decided to stop bothering stealthing $5 and up, especially when I can EMS them on TD instead.
Handwriting is a stopgap measure for not having a stamp available, better than nothing.

Stamp-connection.com WILL make any George stampe they sell...as a TD stamp, too...just ask them.

My stamp message. On September 13th 2013, I ordered a Classix XStamper from StampConnection P05 with that message in purple. My current WG stamp is that model with "Track this bill at www.WheresGeorge.com" in red.

I like either purple or red because they're vivid and contrast with the bill - blue, orange or pink might also work. I wanted different colors to help tell my stamps and marked bills apart.

Self-inking stamps are much easier to deal with, especially when traveling - no separate inkpad, and the stamp surface isn't exposed to damage from jostling around. I don't want to buy and manage several different stamps. I don't see the point of symbols not related to bill tracking. It seems too difficult to try and align bills in a printer. Handwriting can get very time consuming very quickly. A one-line stamp fits in the margins. I find this particularly useful with bills that have less whitespace. This is especially true of various $2 and up designs, and some bills of whatever type with shifted overprinting.

My longer TD message does not fit in side margins. (Sometimes I align the stamp to put only the URL on the bill, and wipe the rest off the table) I use it in the top and bottom margins, left of center in one and right of center in the other. On any bill except large-head $5 and up, I usually stamp above the right serial instead of in the front margins. I usually stamp on both sides, which seems to have better luck than front only. I make sure ink doesn't appear to be in the same spot on the paper - when flipping the bill, this means left/right and up/down location remains the same.
