2014 Cooperative County Challenge - May Hits

Welcome to the 2014 Version of our County Challenge. All Counties are once again open!
Please do not post 2013 hits here!
Please check Spreadsheet for taken Counties, and don't forget to check the thread for Counties posted after last update to see if the County you are posting has yet been taken.


In 2013, we hit 853 Counties...315 of those were unhit in 2012.
In 2012, we hit 948 Counties.

We achieved 26.37% county coverage in 2013!!

After the white Counties (2013 hits) are hit in 2014, they will be colored according to their month.

BINGOS: NONE    With 494 counties to date, Projection: 1454 for year.
We have achieved 15.27% county coverage so far!!  We are averaging about 120 per month!
We have hit 172 Counties that were unhit last year.  Needed State: VT - Territories: AA, AE, AP, GU, FM, MH, MP, AS
We managed 853 Counties last year!!  Let's beat that in 2014!!
Interesting Note: So far, this year, we have hit the two HARD Delaware Counties, and not the easy one!

Marathon county WI was hit in April but I do not see that reflected in the map. Is this an error?

Marathon is colored in...and in April's colors. You sure you looking at the right County?

Marathon is just to the west of Shawano. You see Shawano was hit in January, and it is red. To the west is Marathon, and it is golden colored...indicating April hit.

Yeah, it's too hard to pick out one specific county on the map. Anyway...

Yeah, it isn't too easy sometimes. But I think I do a pretty good job...
One of the reasons I made the auto-fill maps for Markus for this site...was so that I'd have a clear reference available for every state, LOL
I actually pull up my own auto-fill maps for each state when I am coloring in the map each month.

LOL, it's okay. No biggie. Just wanted to point out that it WAS colored in. The April color could be a bit tough to see on the smaller sized map which is in the topic itself, but if you click through to the full-sized map...t is easier to see.

Kinda tough to manage to come up with 12 colors that are different enough from each other to make this whole thing work. Thirteen colors, really, if you count the white ones!
