Electric Red got a hit from me
I found an Electric Red bill last night, I would post a link, but I entered it before I registered so can't figure out how to get the URL.
Anyway, I am going to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard next week, so want to take it along.
Good luck!

I'm probably need Admin help on that. Let me see if I can get a hold of him - he sometimes has to squeeze his time to get certain things done.

I started with TD when Kalisiin mailed me 4 of her marked $1s, but an Electric Red $20 was the first TD bill I found out in the open:

Really? You entered bills she mailed you? That seems so foreign to me. Are there not favorites over here?Alan From Rochester wrote:I started with TD when Kalisiin mailed me 4 of her marked $1s, but an Electric Red $20 was the first TD bill I found out in the open:

No favorites, sorry. There are different priorities and assumptions here.penguins13 wrote:Really? You entered bills she mailed you? That seems so foreign to me. TrackDollar is more loosely managed, does not request extra payments for its suite of charts and graphs, does not limit user notes. Of course, we are small, so some of the issues at WG don't transfer here at all while others transfer all too easily.

Re: Electric Red got a hit from me
I am not sure I will actually enter any bills here. But I will be better at really checking the bills out to make sure they are not actually TD bills. I will enter any TD bills I find here. I will probably just enter them over there, and not remark them

Re: Electric Red got a hit from me
Alan did not know not to enter the bills I sent.
The bills I sent were a result of a trade on the Bill collecting Forum at WG?
Normally, people who trade with me here know not to hit bills I send them. I told Alan it was no biggie, but, in the future, not to hit any bills I sent him as a result of any kind of trade.
Meanwhile, if Alan would like to make Red his Track Dad...instead of me being his Track Mom...I have no problem with that.
The thing is... I DID intro Alan to the site by sending him the TD bills, and that would tachnically make me his Parent.
However, Red's bill was the first wild he found and entered.
Had Alan NOT entered my bills...then Red would have become his Track Parent.
So...whatever anyone wants to do with the whole situation, I am okay with.

Re: Electric Red got a hit from me
A hit on Nantucket would be quite a bit one, as I don't think the site has had one on the island, and it is its own county as well (Just like San Francisco, CA).
Re: Electric Red got a hit from me
I figured "don't hit bills sent through the mail" was simply an external WG rule, rather than something Kalisiin likes to (not) do anyway.
WG does have a favorites system, but it also has Alternate Hits - a bill entry that records the timestamp and location data but doesn't count in anyone's stats.

Re: Electric Red got a hit from me
Well, that personal rule of mine...is a bit of a carryover from WG? It also is the fact that I don't want "cheap" hits.Alan From Rochester wrote:I figured "don't hit bills sent through the mail" was simply an external WG rule, rather than something Kalisiin likes to (not) do anyway.

I mean...let's assume I had 49 states. All of a sudden, a chance came up for me to get state #50...and I did it by mailing someone in that state a few bills.
That would be, IMNSHO, a cheap way to get it.
As I already have all 50 states, this is no issue...still, though, I generally prefer bills traded to other members, whether for other bills, or to purchase things from that member - either in person or via mail...I DO prefer them to not be hit by the recipient.
As I said, in Alan's case, he did not know, and so it was no big deal...but for future reference, he will probably know.
