Hey all, my name is FURB, I live in West Valley City, Salt Lake County, Utah. I've been registering bills on here since I received a bill in a transaction at my place of employment.

I began using the site after a customer spent a bill there. I had noticed several Where's George bills, and was aware of that site since 2001, when I started using bookcrossing.com (WG is cited as an inspiration for that site). But the first bill I ever started to track was on here at trackdollar.com.

I'd checked out WG, and decided it wasn't for me, especially after reading some stuff about how the site is run, and all the rules. I also love data, and statistics. Trackdollar is par excellence in that regards for sure.

Anyways, I work quite near Salt Lake City International Airport, and handle quite a bit of cash. I catch and release Wild WG registered bills, but actively circulate and register bills on trackdollar.com.

I'm always on the lookout for old bills, or series that I have not registered yet. I really like registering $50's and $100's. I am trying to mostly register bills from the Federal Reserve Bank at Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up on Cape Cod, and so I like to think of the correlation of the bills place of origin and my own.

I currently rank third in the State of Utah, and am keen on advancing, but that will take some doing.

Be seeing you,
FURB

May I be the first to welcome you to TD!!

And I'm sure I won't be the last.

I certainly hope you will check out the County Challenge in the "Other" section of this Forum, it is a lot of fun. I maintain the map and Spreadsheet for that project...our goal is, every year, to hit as many unique Counties as possible. Last year, we managed 948 - this year, we are well on the way to breaking that. But we could always use the help!

So, do you enter and stamp all bills that come thru your drawer (like a Commercial Georger on WG?) or do you buy and obtain and stamp your own bills, like me?

I spend almost exclusively $1 bills, so that I get the maximum number of possible hits out there. You should check out my page for knowing when you are addicted to currency tracking.

Welcom FURB! Glad you decided to give TD a try! I use to visit West Valley City quite often when I was delivering trucks. Use to pick up at the CR England HQ and would deliver a lot to the Freightliner.

Hope you enjoy TD like we do. Markus has done a wonderful job with the site and is always open to suggestions to improve.

Hope to hit one of yours soon!

Kalisiin: Thanks for the warm welcome!

You said: "So, do you enter and stamp all bills that come thru your drawer (like a Commercial Georger on WG?) or do you buy and obtain and stamp your own bills, like me?"

To answer your question, I enter some bills while I'm at work, but not all of them. Generally, I work alone, and the store can be very busy. Plus I'm doing all the data on my phone, so it is a little cumbersome. Basically, I'm just registering the $50's and $100's that come into the drawer on my shift, and buying the $1's originating from the Boston FED then registering them at home.

I'll check out your site when I get home.

Dback Dave: Thanks for the welcome! The store I work at has a lot of truck driving students from CR England's trucking school. A friend of mine is married into that family and goes to the big family reunion they have. I hope to come across some of your bills soon.

Hey FURB,

Welcome to TD. I hope you have as much fun tracking bills as I do. I got started a few years ago when I found a $2 bill from D'back Dave.

And like Dave, I used to drive through Salt Lake on a regular basis with motorhomes, buses and trucks, delivering them from the factory to dealerships, etc. I also was at CR England to train to get a CDL and drive for them, but a family emergency came up and I had to bail before I could finish.

I now work at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport so I spend a few bills there to circulate them around the country.

I stamp and enter every bill I get my hands on. I collect for our office lottery pool, trade with coworkers before they go on vacation, and pay for almost everything with $1s.

Well, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Tony: Thanks for the warm welcome. You know what is cool, I didn't even know about the forum here until after I'd entered in over three hundred bills. cyclops

I don't know how I'll use this site in the future, right now, I'm really home sick, since my wife is divorcing me. But I'm hanging out, aiming to be the best ex-husband ever, taking care of my kids, and marking every bill that speaks to me.

I'm having a really good time with the hobby, and checking out all the forum threads too.

Sorry to hear that. Though no children are involved, I separated from my wife last year. Divorce is still pending. It sounds like you have a great approach to help yourself get through it. TD and Pandora helped me get through a few tough times by just keeping my mind busy. I hope you find the same to be true. Good luck, FURB.

Hey good luckj with that FURB.

Tony, by "Pandora" do you mean Pandora Radio? Or do you mean "Open Pandora"
If you actually own an Open Pandora...I think that is really cool, since I also own one. and there are not many of them in the world.

I meant Pandora radio. I wasn't familiar with Open Pandora until you mentioned it. I had to do a search to find out what it is.
