How do I mark my Bills Empty How do I mark my Bills

Post  Admin Sat May 30, 2009 11:19 am

Hi,

I use a printer to mark my bills. Example file is available on the TrackDollar.com site under Downloads.

A stack of 50 bills is printed within 2 minutes. To prevent paper jams I leave the bills for one night under a heavy box.

I also got a few stamps from the web. I just bought self ink stamps with 3 custom lines like from different web sites. (got them from http://orders.rubberstamps.net/FixedSize.aspx?ProductID=4911&qty=1 )

My stamps:
a)
See where I've been
Track where I'll go next!
www.TrackDollar.com

b)
been there, done that
check my trail at:
www.TrackDollar.com

c)
Please report sightings
of this bill to:
www.TrackDollar.com

d)
How far does your money go?
Find out here:

I use a Pigma Micron .05 in black, royal blue or brick red and hand write the URL.

On the back, in the top and bottom margins of most bills. On the front near the FRB and/or Treasuray seal.

For now, I am going to use a sharpie since that is all I have with me on the road right now. However, when I get home, I am going to see if Stamp-Connection.com will be nice enough to use some of the other websites stamps and custom them for me. Since the other webmaster has never "chosen" a manufacturer for these stamps and they really are not copyrighted anyway, I think I should be able to have them done. Will keep advised.

A little run in with the Secreat Service may have something to do with his non-endorsement. Stamp Connection does good work. If you decide to have some made, I will piggy-back with an order of my own.

I know that is the reason, yet, in his tirant state, he decides to shut down other manufacturers and those that sell them on E-bay stating he never gave permission to use his trademark. This discusion could get ugly.... Surprised and not between us, but about "HIM"...LOL

I talked to Stamp-Connection.com on the phone and they are more than willing to change it to any URL. They have already for some people and constantly do for the Canadian side as well. They told me if we have a certain type of stamp that there is a patch available, but not available for any of the I-stamp or X-stamper (which I have) or acrylic.

Dave, let me get this straight...

S-C will make us a stamp, but they can't do it for I-stamp, X-stamp OR acrylic??? Shocked

What can they do?

No, what they can NOT give you a replacement patch for is the I-stamp, X-stamper, or acrylic styles. They CAN make you any stamp you want with the new URL inserted in it. As always, if you order online, you will need to put in the special instructions the URL change. Sometimes I wish I would proofread.... Embarassed Shocked

Just to follow-up on this thread ...

I have been using my Stamp-Connection stamps for nearly ten months and I am highly satisfied (this will be no surprise to anyone who has used them before).

While I did have a small problem with one of them, S-C corrected it right away at their expense

I have a one-line stamp that reads "Track this bill at TrackDollar.com" - I stamp twice on the back in the top and bottom margin and once on the front.

I have a rectangular stamp that reads "Track me at TrackDollar.com" - I stamp once on the front.
