Same sorta contest, same kinda rules.

Make your best guess on when we hit 12,345 Unique Hits - win a $ 10 prize.

Here's a wrinkle to make it interesting -- You can make a NEW guess every 15 days from the date and time of your most recent guess. If it is looking like you guessed way too far in the future or too close to the present, make a new guess as a reply to this thread.

I'll be your first customer, tim.

I am entering a guess of August 13th at 1PM EST. For extra credit, I predict it will be YOU who gets that hit.

I have to say, though, I don't like the re-guessing thing...that could lead to "gaming" as it is, I wish guesses could be kept private until guesses were closed, and then everyone's guess published...so that no one could game it that way, either.

Allow me to clarify my intentions.

1. I was hoping that "the ususal suspects" (at least) would jump into this contest early.
2. I figured that if they did, there would be a "cooling down" period of 15 days from their most recent guess before they could guess again.
3. I will keep my original idea active for another week or so in hopes other players will join in.

With 1,200 Hits to go, I am not too worried at this point. The last 45 days of hits has produced something like 20-ish hits per day. That means that there is nearly 2 months to go before we get close to the end of the contest.

My first official guess: September 13, 13:13 (1:13 pm)

I guess September 11th at 1600 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The time zone all other time zones are set against.

Tim, I trust your handy, dandy calculator will be able to convert this by 5 hours.

My first Official Guess is September 14th, 2011 at 13:00 Hrs EST.

I STILL wish you'd take away the re-guess thing, Tim. It really opens things up to potential gaming.

It still might change. I'd like this to go at least one round to see what happens.

Well, I still don't like the re-guess thing, but...since I CAN...and since I'm pretty sure I got it early...

I place a new guess of 8:30AM EST on 8/30.

I am posting a new guess, as I am allowed...today is Aug. 20 so I can...it is more than 15 days since last guess...and guesses are taken thru today.

I guess my mom's birthday, September 9 at 9AM EST.
