Would you hit a non-TD wild bill if you found one? Why or why not?

I have and I will continue to hit bills from other currency tracking sites.

I actually found one of those "magnifying glass" stamp style bills a few months ago and hit it.

Interesting.
Just checked back at the poll I posted at the other place.

Here, we have 3 responses, all say YES - would hit.

THERE...the score is

8 YES
4 NO
and 3 OTHER

At least two said they would as long as they didn't have to register at the other site to do it (which I read to mean they are fairly loyal - but at least not hypocrites...since, after all, THEY want people to hit THEIR bills...it seems odd to me that there are a number of WG? loyalists who refuse to hit from another site.

One respondent pointed exactly that out...that it would be hypocritical not to hit it...since on the other end of that marking there's a dude/dudette who wants their bill hit.

Several people said that they would hit it...and would then ALSO enter it into WG?

One person flatly said they would not hit it...nor would they enter it into WG?

Very interesting so far...will keep everyone here posted on the results from that other site.

I hit every wild I find, and then also enter it at TD. I make a note that it is a WG bill, where and when it started.

It looks like TD users are a little more open minded in general. ANother tracking site has kind of a religious type of following. I find that a bit sickening. People will really make gods of anything.

Would You Hit A Bill From A Different Tracking Site? Empty Re: Would You Hit A Bill From A Different Tracking Site?

Post  kidgame2001 Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:45 pm

I'll hit wilds regardless of what tracking site they are for. I've been on the other site, WG, a lot longer, and have found plenty of wilds there. I still haven't found any Track Dollar wilds yet. I do have a cashiering job at the local grocery store though, so its only a matter of time before some TD wilds enter my register.

However, I have found a wild from a different site - Where Have I been, or WHIB for short. However I really dislike that site. WHIB has way too many problems and errors. Quick note about my wild there - it was a 2006 series George, and the user note from the other person confirmed this. I know I entered the series and serial correct so I hit submit......and the site automatically changed it to a 2003 series. I saw no way to change it. Other than that, it has many other flaws that make it unusable site.

I certainly am not atheist as you are. I believe God of the Bible whose name in English is pronounced Jehovah is the true God however I was just stating that the other site does have some that follow it in a manner that is religious in nature. That is just plain stupid. Tracking money is a fun hobby but certainly not something to reverence as holy or sacred. I am not stating this to get into some religious debate rather to clear up any confusion about what I meant.

OK. But you should know I am not Athiest, either. I'm AGNOSTIC. Actually, I like to refer to myself by a label a fellow member of my Unitarian Universalist congregation I attend came up with: Jesusian. Not to be confused with Christian. A Jesusian does not have to believe in the divinity of Jesus...but does believe that the example of Jesus' life, as depicted in the Bible...shows us a good way to live - and more importantly...how to treat our fellow man.
But that's enough of the religious stuff.

I agree with you about the way some follow that other site...and it's creator...as if it were sacred. That's just silly. If you happen to prefer one site to another, that's perfectly fine...but to deliberately NOT hit a bill entered on a site other than your personal favorite...well, I just don't get it.

I plan on eventually coming full-time to TD only, for now I use both sites.

Even when I do come here full-time...even if it is because I get banned at the other site...I would not deny someone from that site a hit, if I encountered their bill. I'll either enter it on my existing account...or, if banned, I'll enter it as a guest. I would NEVER deny someone else a hit, just because they use a different bill tracking site.

Yet, at least 10 people there said that THEY would.

What's stopping you from coming to TD full time NOW???It's very easy.....just stop going to WG? and stay here exclusively.....Seems very odd that you have nothing good to ever say about WG?, Hank, or its users, yet you keep going back for more. Are you some time of masochist??? Do you enjoy conflict? Are you waiting to get banned because you are going for the worlds record of individual banned from most sites?? Do you like all my questions??? echo echo echo echo

Well, firstly, I plan on staying at WG? thru year's end, as I have a commitment there, running a bingo thread on the NE Regional Forum, and it ends on Dec. 31. I committed to do it, so I plan to see that commitment thru.

Second, I'm also still running the community-wide Grape Bingo thread and plan to continue to administer that thread.

Third, I have plenty good to say about WG...and some of it's users, too. don't forget some of the WG? users are ALSO TD'ers, too! I have met some very nice people on WG. It is just a poisonous few who seem to be immune from any Admin action - and who seem bent on making my life hell by being pointlessly, needlessly cruel and hurtful - that have basically ruined WG? for me. And it doesn't help that Hank does nothing about these people.

No, I don't have much good to say about Hank...and neither would you if you were in MY position. No matter WHAT happens...it is ALWAYS my fault in Hank's eyes...and no matter what, I'M the only one who ever gets sanctioned or rebuked by him...the others get off scott-free.

Even IF, as Hank claims, it was all my fault, and I brought it all on myself - which I don't buy - but EVEN IF THAT WERE TRUE - that does NOT give those people license to be cruel, mean, and hurtful. Yet they do exactly that...AND GET AWAY WITH IT...Hank NEVER calls them out on it.

Well, when a person seems to have two sets of rules...as Hank seems to....and one group gets what seems like preferential treatment over what you get...well, that tends to make you not like that person very much.

Defend WG and Hank all you wish - perception is reality, to the person who is experiencing the perception...so, for me, my perception is my reality, and this is my reality. And it is as equally valid as your reality, which probably, I don't doubt, differs from mine.

But, be honest...have you ever had a teacher...or a boss....who had "pets" and YOU were not one of the pets? And the pets were SO OBVIOUSLY treated far better than you were? I bet you didn't care too much for that teacher or boss...OR their pets.

I've known people like you that are delusional to how they appear to the rest of a community. *removed by forum admin*. It's really a shame that you can't/won't see yourself as others see you and seek out the help that you cry out for so desperatly.Maybe someday you will and can become a functional member of society. What a shame. What you perceive to be persecution by others on WG? is actually pity on you. Shame, shame, shame. By the way---I have been a member of WG? for many years. I have never met Hank in person, and he wouldn't know me from a hole in the wall. However, by following the rules and not acting like an *removed by forum admin*, I've been able to remain conflict free on WG?.

Kathoey,

There really is nothing to be gained by having a "public" discussion about another currency tracking site here. It does not really advance anything in particular and often decomposes into poop slinging of one kind or another.

I would be willing to enter an honest discussion away from this public board about the reasons some of us are here at TrackDollar temporarily or permanently.

This forum supports Private Messages and the entering side supports anonymous email. You may use either, both or neither as you choose.

Kathoey,
You have obviously made up your mind about me...based on a few forum posts and "popular" opinion (translation: vocal opinion by a small, popular group.)

Sad to see you're so shallow that you will allow others to form your opinions for you, instead of maybe getting to know me and deciding for yourself. (Really, I'm not a half-bad person if you treat me decently.) There's plenty of people I DO get along with at WG? and in real life, I might add...I've been to three gatherings now, and no one has had any problem with me there.

Maybe it is because people find it easier to be cruel and insensitive when hiding behind a computer screen...than to do it right to someone's face. Or maybe it is because, after meeting me and really getting to know me...those people realized I'm not the great bloody ogre you would have me.

I have nothing further to say to you, really, Kathoey...I don't have time or the inclination, to associate with shallow people.

Just because people may have appeared nice to your face at the gatherings you attended (including the one this past weekend) doesn't mean that plenty wasn't said about you behind your back. Don't try and pretend--we all know that the amount of people you get along with in real life and at WG is few and far between. Plenty of people *have* treated you nicely at WG, yet you still have gone nuts over the most silly paranoia induced slightings. Also, don't try and be so self-righteous---we both know you have talked smack about WG? members and didn't have the stones to back it when you met these people in person at gatherings. Don't try and deny that you even talked smack this weekend about members at the gathering you attended, yet you didn't have the juice to talk smack to their face.

Oh, by the way, I'm willing to bet you will come back and try and get the last word in. We all know from your actions at WG how meaningless your promises of not returning to comment are.

I bid you good day. I SAID GOOD DAY!!!!!

Would You Hit A Bill From A Different Tracking Site? Empty Re: Would You Hit A Bill From A Different Tracking Site?

Post  Kalisiin Mon Nov 15, 2010 10:25 pm

Kathoey,

First of all, I saw no need to create trouble at a gathering. Plenty of people have said unpleasant things to me on the forums...and by your own admission, BEHIND MY BACK...at gatherings. so who is the one who lacks "the stones?"

I simply chose to avoid conflict. You should have noticed that there were a couple of people at the gathering this weekend...to whom I said no more than was absolutely necessary to be both polite and civil, and not cause problems. I don't feel the need to name them here...but there were two of them...one of whom likewise basically avoided me...and the other who was incredibly nice to my face...and whom I returned pleasantries to, and found a way to get away from that person, fast.

I have no need to create a public scene in a public place. but there were two at that gathering who may have been the subject of a scene if I had less restraint.

I suspect I know who you are over on WG, but I won't say it here. If you ARE who I think you are on WG? then YOU are one of the two I mention from the gathering this weekend...and if you ARE who I think, you have a hell of a lot of nerve telling ME I lack "the stones" to say things to people's face...the way you treated me on the Forums on WG? and the way you were all sweet to my face...if you are who I think...you will also notice how quickly I made an excuse to get away from you...and you will also notice that you are one of the few people with who I did NOT trade at the gathering.

And I am betting YOU will come in now and continue trashing me and trying to get the last word in yourself.

Because you just can't STAND to let me defend myself, you must insist on tearing me down more.

You got a lot of courage when you're hiding behind a fake screen name, don't you?

And you seem to engage quite a bit in the psychological tactic known as "projection" - whereby you ascribe the worst of your own personality traits...onto someone you dislike. Try looking in the mirror sometime, Kathoey.

To be honest, I truly pity you. Shallow, and completely unable to trash someone in your own name and stand behind it. Your entire post is pabulum puking, and it is projection...and it is an attempt to bait me, and I'm not biting.

Go find someone else to torment, Kathoey, it isn't working on me. Because I know that HERE...if you keep it up...Admin actually WILL deal with it...and fairly...which is to say YOU will be the one punished and sanctioned...for continuing to get in my face.
