Hi everybody,
you know, I am from a SOCCER country. Of course my hope, GERMANY will win the soccer world cup.
So what do you think, who will be in the final game?
my guess: Spain vs Germany

You know, this is the most world renoun popular sport, and I do not ever watch it. I know they had it on KTAR newstalk radio today about it being in Africa for the first time and the amount of pride Desmund Tutu (spelling) had about it, also that Nelson Mandella (spelling) was not able to attend due to a great granddaughter of his being killed by a drunk driver after a soccer party the night before.

Dave, I'm with you on this one. I just can't get into watching soccer. In 1994, when the World Cup was held here in the U.S., I watched quite a bit. I lost interest when the championship game, of the most popular sport in the world, came down to a shoot out to determine the winner. The official score was 0-0*. This, to me, would be like having a home run derby to determine the winner of the World Series or a shoot out to determine the winner of the Stanley Cup.
Many of my coworkers are foreign born (Mexico, Columbia, Jamaica, Germany, etc.) and are very excited about the World Cup. Numerous times, at work, there has been a match on tv (many times in Spanish) over the past several months, so I have seen a little of the preliminary matches. I am sure I will see parts of many more matches, but I have no idea who are the best teams. I'm not even able to make an educated guess.
