My GOD, You Would Not Believe The JUNK
you accumulate over twenty years of living in a house, until you try to move it!!
We have a load of stuff we don't want, aren't taking to North Carolina with us...and these junkmen who come and clean out houses were quoting us six to eight hundred dollars to do it!!
So we put a post on Craigslist offering free furniture and other various sundry items - and the response was incredible! We got rid of almost everything we didn't want...and one small truckload of total junk nobody was going to want cost us only two hundred bucks.
So the way I see it, I just sold all that ther stuff for four - six hundred dollars - in terms of savings over having the junkmen haul it away...and a lot of people got a lot of good, free, useable stuff.
It really is true, one man's junk is another man's treasure!

Well, good for you. It is much better to give than have the junk man receive.

Amen to that!
Could not believe how much the junk guys wanted. I had figured on maybe three hundred or so...but EIGHT.....
That was when I got the idea to post up free stuff on Craigslist instead.

We put a lot of stuff in our regular trash and recycling. Scavengers picked up some stuff that was left at the curb. Also, there was a lot of stuff we brought with us and realized we didn't want when unpacking.

Moving's a grand-royal cast-iron pain in the butt, ain't it?
