Hit Rate 1%

My mass stealthing had driven my hit rate too low even for my tastes. Lately I've been marking more bills I would have otherwise stealthed, and maybe entering fewer marked bills instead of more stealths.

It's paying off.

Hit #452, on 45197 bills entered.

The hit rate in my notification emails had been 1.0% for awhile, but that was rounding up from 0.9-something.

Congrats. I have 6.8% hitrate. I know marking them is a pain, but you wont get hits any other way.

My hit rate is down to 12.76 % from nearly 13.01 % a few months ago. I averaged 23.4 hits a month in 2012, 24.7 in 2013,  21.2 in 2014, but I am only getting 15 a month so far in 2015.

I don't find the marking itself to be too hard - just push my stamp down one or two times on each side. Granted, even my marked bills might have a higher hitrate with a more complex marking scheme.

I know TD doesn't have dumping rules, but I still avoid taking marked bills to banks en masse. Sometimes I deposit a few TD marked bills.

Obviously my WG marked bills wouldn't have much of a TD hit rate.

Frankly, the TrackPoints formula rewards entered bills more than it penalizes low hit rate. So while I care somewhat about hit rate, I'm not too concerned.
